Directorate General of Training (DGT) under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship offers range of vocational training courses catering to the need of different sectors of economy/Labor market. The vocational training programmes are delivered under aegis of Directorate General of Training (DGT). Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) with variants and Apprenticeship Training Scheme (ATS) are two pioneer programmes of DGT for propagating vocational training.
Electronics Mechanic trade under CTS is one of the most popular courses delivered nationwide through network of ITIs. The course is of two years duration. It mainly consists of Domain area and Core area. The Domain area (Trade Theory & Practical) imparts professional skills and knowledge, while Core area (Workshop Calculation and science, Engineering Drawing and Employability Skills) impart requisite core skill & knowledge and life skills. After passing out the training program, the trainee is awarded National Trade Certificate (NTC) by DGT which is recognized worldwide
NATURE AND SCOPE OF ELECTRONICS MECHANIC
Electronics Mechanic course imparts trainees with the knowledge of basic electronic circuits and devices like Active and passive electronic components, Soldering and De-soldering, Radio, television, communication, amplifier and oscillators, power supplies, etc. In addition to it, modern technologies like Digital electronics, Mobile communication, Optical fiber communication, Embedded systems (microcontrollers and interfaces), Digital Panel Meters, LED and LCD television are also taught in electronic mechanic course. The domain area is divided into trade theory and Practical. Everything that is taught in theory is demonstrated via practical.
After the completion of course the trainee is imbibed with knowledge of all basic as well as advanced electronic circuits and devices .The Trainee is able to repair and provide maintenance to all such related equipments.
